The core characteristics of single spring mechanical seals are simple structure, strong corrosion resistance, and suitability for small diameter and low-speed working conditions.
Its spring wire is relatively thick, which can effectively resist corrosive media and is not easy to accumulate solid particles, making maintenance relatively convenient. However, the force on its end face is not as uniform as that of a multi spring type. During high-speed rotation, centrifugal force may cause the spring to shift or deform, affecting the sealing performance. Therefore, it is more commonly found in equipment with shaft diameters not exceeding 80-150mm and low rotational speeds.
